Farm sketching
This farm is located under a valley, the depth inside of the valley all are farmland. Edge of the farm is surrounding by elevated railway and close to less than three minutes walk railway station. The owner of the farm found this land deliberately to develop organic farming, built a shed on field planted with small flowers and wild vegetables next to, giving it a natural vitality.
When I planned to paint this picture, I didn't have any special feelings about the scenery in front of me. I just thought that spring was here, and it would be a good thing if I could sit and paint a picture here.
At first, what attracted me was the falling branch of sunflower who stretched out to the sky, as well as dotted with small blue flowers and blossoming purple red cosmos.......! I postured with my finger. It seemed that anywhere could make the composition, but it is not prefect enough. At the end, I simply drew a panoramic.
I came every afternoon to sketching, and my son played in the fields. It will be some interference in outdoor, such as: mosquitoes, children and people talking. I counted one scene after another and one color after another in concentration: next to the green forest is a tree, underneath is hay, and next to it is......Ｉam even put the colour blocks on the draft while drawing up the pencil draft. The feeling at that moment was really pleasant!
When the painting was almost finished, the farm lady came over to look at my painting and said, "Oh! It is beautiful. But It would be nice to draw some paths to let people know it is a farm." "Yes" I thought to myself, "Ah. The farm lady is really amazing, but I'm sorry, the flowers you planted are too flourish!"

打算畫這幅畫的時候，並未有對眼前景色有什麼特別的感覺，只是想到春天到了，如果可以在這裡坐著畫一幅畫，會是一個很好的事情。
最初吸引我的是前面一枝伸向天空又快將凋謝的向日葵，以及點綴著的藍色小花、與一朵朵紫紅色的波斯菊……。我用指窗比畫著，似乎任何地方也可以構圖，但又似乎都不太完整，最後我乾脆畫了一個全景跨頁。
我每每下午來到這兒寫生，兒子就在田邊玩玩。當然戶外寫生，無論再怎樣寧靜的還境都會有一些干擾，例如：蚊子、小孩，談話的人群，好奇的人們……等等。無論發生什麼事，我只有一個景物接一個景物、一塊顏色接一塊顏色地數算著：青綠色的樹林旁邊是一棵樹，下面是乾草，再旁邊的是……。甚至一邊起鉛筆草稿，一邊就把色塊放上去，那一刻的感覺，真令人愉快！
畫得差不多的時侯，農場阿姐走過來看看道：「嗯！畫得還不錯。不過要加些小路，才看得出這是種田的農莊。」「嗯」我心想︰「阿姐果然厲害，但對不起，你種的花草太茂盛了！」
